Autumn at Leeds Castle

Crisp mornings, falling leaves and an abundance of stunning colours, means that autumn has arrived.

The Kentish countryside is a sight to behold during autumn and Leeds Castle offers over 500-acres of beautiful parkland ready to be explored. Whether you chase patches of blue skies, take a moment to enjoy the orange and auburn tones splurging out across the estate, or are on the hunt for an entertaining destination for your little ones, this autumn there is plenty to keep you busy.

Leeds Castle is home to mesmerising historical gardens and landscapes filled with dazzling beauty.
Start your autumnal escape as you take a stroll through the Oriental Garden. With Chinese and Japanese influences throughout, immerse yourself in quiet spaces of contemplation, extraordinary colour and admire the stunning magnolia in full bloom.
As you wonder through the estate, treading on the crunchy leaves on the ground, you will find many exquisite gardens all with unique themes, designs and species.

There is plenty for the little ones too! Wrap up warm and come raring to go as you conquer the thrilling adventure playground. Let off steam by navigating the climbing walls, fireman’s poles, giant cargo net and zip wires to be named the king or queen of the castle.
Challenge the family to win ultimate bragging rights for the day as you tee off at the Leeds Castle Adventure Golf. Or get lost around the Maze made of 2,400 yew trees, before exploring the underworld grotto with all its mythical beasts.

On cooler autumn days, warm up your fingers and toes with a visit to the Castle. There is plenty to discover from striking interiors, furnishings and unique artworks. You will learn of the Castle’s rich heritage playing hostess to seven of England’s Medieval and Tudor queens, including Catherine of Aragon in our new Queens with Means cinematic experience; and its transformation into an elegant 20th century retreat for the influential and famous by Lady Baillie herself.

After a day full of exploring, how does an autumnal getaway in the country sound?
Cuddle up in front of a roaring fire with a blanket and warm brew, all before tucking into crisp cotton bedding with your favourite book for a bit of light reading before bed.
Wake up the next day feeling refreshed and ready to go as you savour a hearty breakfast.
