There’s an abundance of wildlife to discover each season. Whether in the Woodland Walk, up in the parkland or hidden by the large lakes and shallow streams.
As you wander through the grounds, find natural habitats home to great numbers of wildfowl and common woodland birds all year round. Look out for the Nuthatch, Jay, Magpie, Wagtails and Great Spotted Woodpecker. If you’re lucky, you may even see a Sparrow Hawk or a Buzzard soaring above. That’s not all, you can also seek out the kingfishers, grass snakes and eels hiding in the places they call home.
Or simply enjoy a stroll along the streams, rivers and the moat, where you can admire stunning nature close up and take in the view.

In the spring and summer, head to the Pavilion Lawn for a relaxing afternoon amongst the flower beds while you unwind in a deck chair. In the autumn and winter, pop on boots and scarves to enjoy the turning season’s colours and crunch on crispy leaves on your wildlife wonders adventures.
